The Union Department of Biotechnology has funded the project with Rs 4.90 crore. The Karnataka Forest Department, Ashoka Trust for Research, Ecology and Environment and University of Agricultural Sciences in Bangalore are involved in the effort .
Finally chlindren in India will have a chance to visit such a park in their own country. In a time when children are losing acess to playgrounds and gardens,the ‘butterfly trail” will help bring them closer to nature.
