Globetrotters are visiting incredible India, not just for tourism, rather to get the perfect smile! Various dental treatments from root canal surgeries to implants are being offered to tourists. Dental tourism, growing at 30% per annum is one of the fastest growing segments of medical tourism. The fact that that dental treatment is not covered by insurance in most countries is another reason for its growth.Costs for the treatments are much cheaper in India, almost 70% lesser than that in the west, no wonder tourists opt for it. In many cases, packages include being treated along with visiting chosen destinations in India. This is a result of, doctors and tour operators working in sync. Inspite of low cost, you are still getting Quality Treatment in India primarily due to low labor cost as compared to any other region in world viz. Middle East, Western European Countries & United States of America. Other Asian countries to offer the treatment are as Malaysia and Indonesia, though they cannot match the quality of treatment provided by Indian hospitals. Travel companies like Exotique Expeditions specialize in dental tourism. A week long dental tour package (including dental implant, airport transfers, accommodation and a three-day trip to the golden triangle that is Agra, Jaipur and back to Delhi) offered by the Exotique Expeditions costs $1,500. Australia is also one of the growing markets for dental clinics in India. There are about one lakh dentists in India with 15,000 graduating from 240 dental colleges every year.
