It’s high time for adventure freaks to plan their upcoming holidays in Himachal Pradesh as the state’s upper belt is experiencing heavy snowfall over the last 15 days. The weatherman predicted that the trend would continue and further escalate in the coming days.
Dhauladhar ranges in Kangra, Churdhar ranges in Sirmaur district, higher reaches of Manali and World famous Rohtang pass received fresh snowfall. This continual decline in mercury has clutched the entire state in shivering cold. All natural lakes, springs and tributaries of major rivers including the Chander Tal, Suraj Tal and Nako lake had frozen due to biting cold wave conditions.
Most of the people are keeping themselves bound in indoors but for those who wish to do something special this winter must go for adventure safaris and scale the higher reaches of Himalaya. Industry sources say, Christmas and New Year is almost a month ahead but this earlier snowfall has brought a big smile for tourists, coming from all over the country. The local hospitality Industry has geared itself to greet holidaymakers with lucrative offers.
Winter sports activities like skiing, snow scooter rides and others are also proving to be a big draw. The season has another reason to cheer as it coincides with weddings.
However, The Hills Queen Shimla is awaiting the seasons first snowfall, which could be possible very shortly, considering the shivering conditions.
To be precise, the beauty of Himachal is on its peak, and you will be lucky enough if you would celebrate this festive season in snow-capped mountains of Himachal Pradesh.
