Goa tourism industry is expecting 10,000 domestic tourists in the upcoming 10 days as the 37th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), is going to be inaugurated on 23rd of this November, in Goa.
For the next 10 days, celebrities from all round the globe will arrive here and Goa will surely be in the limelight because of media. The hospitality industry in Goa believes that this trend will continue until New Year.
Fatima De Sa, chairperson of Goa tourism Development Corporation said:
We have noticed that during the 10 days of the festival, there is a tremendous increase in domestic tourists visiting the state. This time too we expect the phenomenon to be repeated and an average 10,000 tourists each day will visit Goa during this period.
Around 107 pictures of 40 countries will be screened during the 11-day festival, under the theme of “Vasudeva Kutumbhakam” or the “the whole world is one family.” The Goa government is all set to make the state a hub of film festivals. And to promote this event the government has already given a fund of Rs 5 crores for the festival.
Well, we can hope that all roads would lead to Goa for the fiesta this winter. And If you are planning to go somewhere else than you are certainly going to miss something. I suggest you that veer yourself to Goa.
