Private sector can come in a big way in managing historical sites, monuments and religious places. But they must have a business model on the basis of which they can manage it on their own.
Kant was addressing the delegates at the “Annual Tourism Summit” on Monday.
He emphasized that private sector is required to play a greater role in the management of tourist destinations while the government is ready to make huge capital investment in this sector. However, he also expressed his deep concern about the failures of private players in the management of tourism destinations in the past.
