It’s glad tiding for Indian tourism industry as India has come out as the fourth most preferred travelling destination among the 167 countries according to a Survey conducted by Conde Nast Traveller. Besides this, Lonely Planet has also categorized India among the five top most visited countries.
Over the years Indian tourism has witnessed spiral increase in the arrival of foreigner tourists. World Travel and Tourism Council anticipated that in the next couple of years tourism industry in India would grow at the rate of 10 percent. The average spent of a traveler is also almost double in India from the worldwide average. Now we are seeing the fruitful results of Incredible India campaign, launched in the end of year 2002.
