
Indian Air Force is celebrating its platinum jubilee as part of which 15 team expeditioners have gone to undertake cave trekking adventure in Meghalaya’s Jaintia Hills, the longest cave system in the Indian sub-continent. The expedition started on March 19 and would continue till March 24.
The group captain S Bhatnagar is leading the expedition and there are 14 men from different units of the Eastern Air Command.
The trekking team would venture through the Tyngheng cave near the villages of SA Masi, Seilken and Umlawan.
The adventure was flagged off by Air Vice-Marshal J S Gandyok, Senior Officer-In-Charge Administration, Headquarters Eastern Command, Shillong.
