In an effort to increase the tourists in the state of Orissa, OTDC has introduced luxury trains in the state. The Ministry of Tourism thinks that these trains would hopefully boost up the tourists in this part of India.
These trains will basically have all the facilities that a 5 start hotel provides and then some. The luxury palace on wheels in Orissa have the following items:
* the regular passenger coaches will come with lounge cars, restaurant and bars.
* impeccable customer service by the waiters is a promise made by the operators.
* There will be plenty of entertainment systems including DVD players, game rooms.
Surprisinlgy enough, the charges are in US dollars. Prices range between 300 to 600 USD per person per night on a single, double and tripple occupancy basis. This is probably because of the foreign tourists mostly.

With the introduction of the OTDC ‘palace of wheels’, the trains in India will see a wide network in India. I think this will be a great way to explore the state of Orissa.
