Through this post, I hope to introduce readers to the immaculate beauty of Solang Valley that occludes ‘Anjani Mahadev’. However, before moving further I wish to uncover fundamentals of this place.
‘Anjani Mahadev’- this name is derived from two names Anjani and Mahadev. Anjani who is believed to be mother of lord Hanuman and Mahadev a name that lord Shiva is supposed to be adorning.
Anjani Mahadev founded by Baba Prakesh Puri ji Maharaj, 20 years ago when he found ice-made shivlangam (35-40fts high), which remains only during winter season.
According to Hindu mythology mother of lord Hanuman, Anjani worshipped here.
As, I along with my friends thronged to Solang valley to explore its immaculate beauty there was a burning desire in my heart to visit Anjani Mahadev too, which I had been hearing about for a long time. Everywhere there was a white mantle of snow, posing as if it was waiting to fondle us. As we were heading towards Anjani Mahadev there was a feeling that we were shacking off the dust from our feet.
On reaching our final destination (Anjani Mahadev), I found the whole atmosphere redolent with the spirit of spiritualism. Moreover, that very redolence of spiritualism was somewhat intoxicating in which all the cacophony, restlessness, and turbulence of the materialistic world were nowhere to be found.
Here it is important to tell you that if you travel Manali from Shimla by bus then it may take at least 9 hours of yours. From Manali you can reach Solang Valley either by bus or by hiring a taxi. To cover further distance, you either can ride a mule or can walk on foot. Personally, I believe that period lying between Decembers to February is the best to visit that place as at this time you can see ice-made shivlangam or lord Shiva. Most importantly, if you plan to visit that place in winter then make sure that you are packed with sufficient woolen clothes. So, if you ever plan to visit Manali, situated in North province of India, Himachal Pradesh then don’t forget to step in Anjani Mahadev.

Indeed an awesome place to be in. A trip up there on foot is truely exhilarating. I can’t wait to go there again!!
Though i have’nt been the place, but after going through the post with fantastic creation, i now feel like going there desperatly.
I am a strong believer of Shaivism. The post above is quite informative for me. I get some new mythological notes on Lord Shiva after reading the post.
